Spring Retreat - Dillard House - Dillard, GA - March 24 - 27, 2010

March 24-27, 2010 for 4 days of RUG HOOKING.

The Got 3 Bags Wool Rug Hooking Retreat will be taking place in historic Dillard, GA at Dillard House.

Hook, eat, chat, and laugh with friends old and new.

Lots of great shopping in the area, including antique stores, flea markets and craft stores.

The Got 3 Bags Wool Rug Hooking Retreat will start at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday March 24, 2010 thru Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 11:00 p.m.

Teaching a 3 day workshop at the retreat is Wendy Miller of The Red Saltbox, the workshop will start on Wednesday and go through Friday,

Saturday is an open day, to hook, shop or do whatever you would like. Wendy will take up to 15 students, so get your registration in early if you want to be in her workshop….I will take an additional 10 to 15 for the retreat without the workshop.

We will have several vendors set up for the retreat to include The Red Saltbox, Got 3 Bags Wool and one other vendor is pending and will be announced soon.

Registration fee is $315.00, which includes 2 meals a day (8 meals), breakfast and either lunch or dinner depending on the day and snacks for the 4 days. The food at Dillard House is outstanding and unbelievable plentiful!

If you are taking the workshop with Wendy her teaching fee will be 75.00 and will be due and payable to her at the end of the retreat (does NOT include your pattern or wool). This is an open workshop, as you choose your own pattern, you can contact Wendy before the workshop to see her selection of patterns, bring your own wool or buy what is available at the retreat or a combination of both…lots will be available. We will also be having a flea market for you to sell rug hooking related items.

I always have lots of door prizes for everyone and a gift when you register the day of the retreat.

A deposit of 200.00 will hold your spot, the additional 115.00 would need to be paid by January 15, 2010.

New Cutter Carrying Bag

I have designed and made a cutter bag that will hold the Townsend cutter and
blades (other cutters would work in this bag also)....your choice of
color...wool or tapestry material....lined and padded...with 6 pockets
inside/large pocket on the outside and a large space for your cutter and even
some wool...a short and a long handle and a zipper
across the top and it has a hard bottom with a padded insert....I am taking orders for these
bags as I am making them all to order based on what color you would want...I can
even make scissor/hook bags and snippet bags to match....The cost is 60.00 for
the cutter bag and 10.00 for the scissor/hook bag and if you buy both I will give
you a snippet bag free, I also can make larger bags to match to carry your rug and wool.

Shipping is extra and will be quoted based on your location.

Williamsburg, VA Rug Hooking Retreat Information

The Williamsburg, VA retreat will be May 1st - May 4th....which is a Friday - Monday evening....really ending Tuesday a.m.

We will be staying at The George Washington Lexington Inn in Williamsburg, VA....the registration is as follows...

The registration fee is 240.00 that includes coming to the retreat, the hooking room, vendors, workshops (materials excluded)and all the goodies I provide my participants, for meals it only includes TWO lunches...the other meals you will be on your own, those two lunches will be catered by the hotel. This is Option 1

Option 2 - The registration fee is 360.00 and includes TWO lunches and FOUR Dinners in area restaurants....the TWO lunches will be catered as stated above but the FOUR dinners we will go out to different restaurants each night....I will plan the places ahead like I do for my Berlin retreat. Plus all the other extras I provide my retreat participants.

The vendors are Wendy with The Red Saltbox, Lois from Olde Scotties Primitives and Got 3 Bags Wool.

I will not open it up to people just coming for a day until I see how the registration goes....I also will decide about opening the vendors to people coming in to just shop...that will be announced later..

I have had such a BIG response to this retreat I wanted to get the information out as soon as possible...As I stated in a previous post the rooms are 89.00 per night plus tax...and you are not required to stay at the hotel to come to the retreat, I know some people have mentioned camping in the area and that is fine. But I am requiring that 2 lunches be part of the registration fee.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

I haven't been blogging since November! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas....we had a very Blessed Christmas. I am busy de-cluttering and downsizing for our upcoming move...not sure where we will be moving but we will figure that out in the next month or so. Dan retires on Friday....lots to do in the next couple of months. I am clearing out a lot of my wool...I have already cleared out hundred's of yards and I am working today on getting my wool room cleaned so I can get to the other side of it!

I had better get back to work!
